  • 4 cod fillets
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Step 1: Preparing the Panko Crust

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, dried parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to incorporate all the ingredients.

Step 2: Coating the Cod Fillets

  1. Dip each cod fillet into the beaten eggs, ensuring they are fully coated.
  2. Transfer the coated cod fillets to the panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs to all sides of the fish. Coat thoroughly and evenly for a crispy crust.

Step 3: Air Frying the Panko-Crusted Cod

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or use an olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
  3. Place the panko-crusted cod fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, without overcrowding.
  4. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cod is golden brown and crispy on the outside, and opaque and flaky on the inside.

Step 4: Serving the Panko-Crusted Cod

  1. Remove the air-fried cod from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes.
  2. Serve the Panko-Crusted Cod with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tartar sauce or a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
  3. Pair it with a side of crispy fries, a refreshing salad, or steamed vegetables for a complete and satisfying meal.

Conclusion: Air Fryer Panko-Crusted Cod is a fantastic way to enjoy a crispy and flavorful seafood dish without the guilt of deep frying. The combination of the crispy panko crust with the delicate and tender cod fillets creates a mouthwatering experience that will impress your family and guests. With the convenience and efficiency of an air fryer, you can achieve a golden brown and crunchy texture while maintaining the natural flavors of the fish. So, grab your air fryer, some fresh cod fillets, and get ready to savor the delightful combination of crispy coating and succulent fish in this easy and delicious recipe.

What is Lorem Ipsum? Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum. Why do we use it? It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English. Many desktop publishing packages and web page editors now use Lorem Ipsum as their default model text, and a search for 'lorem ipsum' will uncover many web sites still in their infancy. Various versions have evolved over the years, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose (injected humour and the like).
